It was a fantastic achievement for this bunch of kids to qualify for the semi finals of this prestigious tournament at u11 level when you consider we had just 4 players of the age available to us this morning.

We took to the field against a very strong Crosshaven outfit. They got off to a fast start and dominated the opening quarter. Some great saves from our keeper Diarmuid kept our interest alive and we finished the half strongly getting 1-1 without reply to give us a small lifeline.
The strength of the panel was evident in the second half as we introduced 9 subs and they all gave it everything. The effort they put in was outstanding and we made the second half very competitive. Wasn’t to be our day however and Crosshaven ran out worthy winners.

To the u11’s on the team - well done and thanks for the effort and guidance provided to the younger players.
To this u10 - enjoy and learn from it and let’s aim to be back down in Páirc Uí Rinn again next year.

Thanks to all who helped. Well done to the kids and their parents. A good time was had in SuperMacs after which helped lift the mood somewhat. It was a great experience for all and some great memories to look back on.
